Covid-19 Guidelines

Your well-being is very important to us. You are required to review our health and safety recommendations below before arriving at Camp Carolina. We have taken reasonable additional measures in an effort to reduce exposure to COVID-19 for all of Camp Carolina's community.

  • COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. An inherent risk* of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any place where people are present.
  • While any person is at risk of potential exposure, senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
  • By coming to Camp Carolina, you are voluntarily assuming all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and any other communicable disease.  *An inherent risk is a risk that cannot be eliminated. 

 

Guest Responsibilities

  • All guests are required to report any COVID like symptoms from the past 10 days at check in.

  • Guests will have their temperature checked on arrival.

  • All guests in the group must be residents of NC, GA, VA, SC, and TN for the initial sessions as indicated on the registration form.

  • Any guests who test positive to COVID-19 during or after their stay are required to report their positive test result to Camp Carolina with 14 days of their departure.

  • Adhere to social distancing guidelines with other family groups by restricting other guests from your accommodations and not mixing with other groups at activities.

  • No outside guests allowed onto Camp Carolina property at any time.

  • Wash and/or sanitize your hands before activities, before entering any buildings and vehicles, and when touching any equipment.

  • Ensure children in your group are supervised at all times and adhering to social distancing guidelines.

  • Maintain 6ft from other guests or wear a mask when that is not possible.

  • Do not share equipment with other family groups.

Camp Carolina Responsibilities

  • All guests will be screened on arrival-including symptom checks and temperature checks.

  • Accommodations will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between guests following the CDC cleaning guidelines.

  • Ensure all employees have quarantined for 14 days before interacting with guests/guests' belongings.

  • Provide hand sanitizer at the entrance to cabins, dining hall, and other high volume areas.

  • Camp Carolina staff will be screened daily. Should any staff display COVID-19 symptoms they will be quarantined and tested. 

  • Provide guests with either equipment for their entire stay OR sanitized equipment between use.

  • Food will be prepared following CDC guidelines and served to limit interactions with others/to the food.

  • Sanitize borrowed equipment in between groups.

  • Staff will maintain 6ft from other employees or wear a mask when that is not possible.
