FAQ'S

The family retreat will not be like a regular Camp Carolina camp session. You will be registering to use camps’ accommodation and facilities. You will create your own schedule and have access to many activities and equipment during the day like Tennis, Sports, Waterfront, Golf, Fishing, Hiking, and many more. The evenings will be for your family to decide - go to a great local restaurant for dinner, hang out around a firepit, play some disc golf. You will also be able to purchase out of camp trips in advance. Breakfast and lunch are provided as “grab and go” options to eat outside or on your cabin porch.

You have four choices for your stay: 

Rustic- Live like a Carolina Camper and live in a cabin. This cabin has 6 single person bunks with screened windows and a lot of history! The toilets and showers are in a nearby bathhouse. 

Rustic Deluxe-No kitchen Live in one of our houses around camp. These are bunk style housing with internal bathrooms and showers.

Luxury Deluxe - Live in our camp Airbnb style house. Beautifully decorated and designed by Mary Eccles herself. Gorgeous bedrooms with internal bathrooms. The best house on camp.

Once you have completed a registration form, you will be sent an online invoice with all options you have selected. Please pay within 24 hours to confirm your booking. You will be able to pay with a credit card. You are able to add trips if you change your mind later on. We require 48 hours notice before your arrival if you wish to add something on to your stay.

Food will be served in a “grab and go” style to help us keep everyone healthy. But don’t worry-the food will be the same delicious food we all love! Breakfast is available from 8:30 am to 9:30 am and lunch from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. One member of your group will be permitted into the Dining Hall to pick up your meals.  Enjoy eating alfresco around camp or on your cabin porch or take on your day's adventure. Please dispose of all trash in the dumpsters behind the office. We are also offering our version of “uber eats” from a select local restaurant each night for dinner-or explore the many delicious restaurants in the surrounding area.

We will have the dining hall available for dining if bad weather hits. 

Parents are to supervise their children at all times-we are unable to provide childcare.

Some activities require special permitting, staffing, sanitization standards and some cannot be instructed without social distancing. Please reach out to kylie@campcarolina.com with any questions. Please review free activities & paid activities here

We will do everything we can to ensure a safe environment for our family groups. However, we can not guarantee that you will not be exposed to Covid-19 during your stay. We will be following the CDC guidelines for cleaning/sanitizing and state guidelines for social distancing, group sizes, and check-in procedures. Families will be screened on arrival - temperature checks/symptoms and previous 5 day history. Each group will be restricted to their own housing and bathhouses for the duration of their stay. Meal services will be designed to take into account the CDC recommendations. If you ever feel unsafe during your stay, please contact a director immediately.

Our maximum capacity is 15 small groups, taking into consideration that every group will be provided their own housing and bathhouse. Families are expected to social distance between other groups and ensure that children under 18 are following all procedures. Paid activities will be for 1 family group at a time only and based on availability.

Yes! We will be working with local restaurants to deliver to camp. Our local town is only a few minutes down the road with lots of great dining options.

Yes! There is so much to do in the local area and we encourage you to get out and explore. If there is an activity that you would like to do during your stay that we cannot provide we will arrange a local guiding company to take you. Please contact kylie@campcarolina.com for details about a certain activity or adventure you are looking for.

We will have Wilderness First Responders on site to provide basic medical care. For any injuries or illness, we are 2 miles from the local emergency room and just minutes from an urgent care and pharmacy.

No, anyone is welcome. Bring family and friends. If quarantining together, you can add them to your booking. If not, we recommend they make their own booking.
