In-Camp

My name is Carolina and I am so excited to live up to my name by going to the US for the first time at Camp Carolina! I grew up in the "salsa capital" Cali, Colombia, so you should know that I love to dance salsa... Eeeeepa! I also have a brother, he is my favorite one and I would love to be there and share my skills with your children. I am a primary school teacher and now a student of Environmental Engineering at the National University of Colombia. Two things that I love for sure, are teaching and nature.

What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?:

I went on a mission to Argentina for a year and a half is my biggest achievement so far. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and being away from home, working for the needs of others instead of my own was a challenge I was able to overcome. Now I know that I am capable of doing whatever I decide with the help of God.
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?:

I love to dance, move my body, sing out loud, paint and be close to nature, climb mountains or just admire them.
What is your favorite thing about working with children?:

they are so honest, creative and also lovely, that's what I love the most.
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?:

Learning from them, it's always a give and take relationship.
What goal or camp philosophy do you really want your campers to learn this summer?:

I would love to teach the campers about gratitude and how blessed we are with our families, our lives, healthy bodies, and the nature that surrounds us and provides for our needs. It is not much that we need to be happy, we just have to be grateful!
