Hey everyone !! My name is Joe and I'm from Melbourne, Australia. I am super excited to be heading back to the beautiful state of North Carolina to join the Camp Carolina program once again. The time spent with the boys, teaching them how to be true gentlemen and making awesome memories was simply unreal. Being from Australia, I love being outside as much as possible, whether it be just in nature, playing sports, or simply enjoying the sunshine. I am a huge sports fan, no matter what sport, I'll always be happy to play or watch. It has been a dream of mine to travel and be a part of Camp Carolina's awesome summer crew, this job gives me the ability to not just have the most unbelievable summer at camp but to have the chance to visit some absolutely awesome places in the U.S. I'm super stoked to be returning to CCB and I am looking forward to seeing all the familiar faces and lots of new ones too !!

What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?:

After completing high school and not having too much idea about what was next for me in terms of a career, I am proud of the way I have navigated this next chapter. Traveling to the US solo, working at CCB, and then traveling to the US and UK was a huge achievement for me. I am excited about what the future holds!
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?:

At the moment with summer approaching here in Melbourne I love getting out and playing golf with my mates whenever we get the chance. Also heading to the beach to swim, throw a ball around or play spikeball!
What is your favorite thing about working with children?:

I love working with children because they are so full of life and they can make any game/activity you play fun and entertaining. Watching them try new things or learn new skills in things they show an interest in is super awesome to see.
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?:

I'm really looking forward to making a lasting impact on the boys by helping them achieve any goals they are striving for whilst at camp. I really want the boys to get the most out of themselves this summer and have the best summer they possibly can and I am excited to be a part of that and will try my best to help them achieve it.
What goal or camp philosophy do you really want your campers to learn this summer?:

I'm a huge believer in valuing human relations, as I love to get out and chat to all my friends, family, new people or whoever it may be. The boys get a really good chance to truly live by this motto at CCB because they are away from their devices and get to spend plenty of time with and build upon relationships with their friends they have made in previous years at camp or at school etc.. They also have the chance to make new friendships and get to know the other boys they haven't met before or talk to and get to know staff who have come from all over the world.
