In-Camp

hello my name is juan i am from colombia and this is my second year in ccb and i am very excited to come back to camp. I am a very athletic and competitive person, I love sports and I am always willing to learn something new, I love the food especially the food at camp, I really like team games and obstacle courses, I think in general I like to be on the move and have a good time. This summer is going to be amazing and I can't wait for it to start!

What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?:

My greatest achievement is to have played soccer tournaments in England and Northern Ireland where I played the milk cup which at the time was one of the most important youth tournaments in the world. It is my greatest achievement because although we did not win the tournament I had a very big personal growth, I learned that effort and dedication are very important in sport and life and if you are constant in something you will go far and that winning is not everything because sometimes we have to lose to learn.
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?:

Clearly it is soccer, but in general, I am a sports lover and if I am not good at any sport give me a week or two where I practice it daily and you will see how good I have become at that sport. I like video games like everyone else especially those that tell a story and the more you advance the more you are in the game, I also like board games especially the ones we have here in my country are very entertaining especially when you play against older people because they are very good at playing and difficult to beat.
What is your favorite thing about working with children?:

What I like most about working with children is that they are always cheerful and very energetic, for example, if they have a long and tiring day in the evening they will be full of energy talking about what they did during their day and laughing about it, also their ability to learn, they are at an age where they learn easily, I find this incredible because one day they have an activity that they don't matter very well and by the end of the week they do it with total ease.
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?:

I want to transmit again all my energy, my enthusiasm, and positivism, to make them feel that every activity I do with the children is done with my best effort, that everything is cheerful and entertaining for the children, all this so that the children have the best summer of their lives.
What goal or camp philosophy do you really want your campers to learn this summer?:

As you know it is not all about laughter and fun, children have to learn to be gentlemen, to always respect other children and counselors, to be kind and attentive, to help others in order to reach the best version of themselves.
