Adventure Staff

Hi, my name is Zachary but most people call me Zac. I am from Canberra, Australia and have lived here my whole life.
I love to play almost every sport, listen to music, socialize with my friends, and enjoy spending quality time with my family. I am the youngest in my family of five which includes my Mother, Father, and two older brothers. I go to the gym 4-5 times a week, I love entertaining and cooking, especially in a social setting.

What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?:

graduating high school is my biggest achievement. After 13 years of hard work, sitting at my graduation ceremony with my best friends and my family watching was a very memorable moment for me.
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?:

Basketball and American Football are my favorite sports to both play and watch.
What is your favorite thing about working with children?:

I enjoy helping people, love to see children happy, and watch them learn and develop new skills.
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?:

I am excited to be a positive role model for the children and to become a valued counselor.
What goal or camp philosophy do you really want your campers to learn this summer?:

The Camp Carolina philosophy is similar to my school motto, 'turning boys into fine young men' which I learned through my schooling at Marist College Canberra which is an all-boys school. Having completed my last nine years of schooling in an all-boys college, I know how boys learn and know the importance of being able to laugh with them, but also being able to correct them, while still making them feel they are valued. I believe it is key for all boys to be respectful, helpful, and kind to enable them to become 'fine young men' who will make a positive impact on others and contribute to their community.
