Hey there! My name is Zack and this will be my 3rd summer working at Camp Carolina.  The first 2 summers were incredible and this one will be sure to be amazing as well.  I have been one of the adventurous members of the earthworks team for a little while now, and plan to be back on the team in '23.  For those of you who don't know me, I am now 21 years old and from the great state of Michigan!  I am currently studying construction management at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, one of the best programs for this industry in the country.  Those who have been on trips with the Radish King before, know how much I love being outdoors and pushing limits to have fun.  Can't wait to be back!!

What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?:

When I was 17 years old I was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank you can achieve in the Boy Scouts.  Although it's not as big of an achievement, I also made a pool table out of concrete for a college project this last semester.
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?:

Anything that involves being outside. Hiking, camping, shooting, canoeing/kayaking, and anything else that ends up with me outside in the woods or the water
What is your favorite thing about working with children?:

I love when a kid crosses a boundary they aren't totally comfortable with yet, with total ease.  Showing kids they're capable of anything they want to has to be it for me.  Discovering a new skill or hidden talent by trying new things is one of the best experiences you can have, and being able to share that with someone else is just as special and exciting.
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?:

The importance of an iron-rich diet, and extracting this essential element from the radishes that grow below our very feet.
What goal or camp philosophy do you really want your campers to learn this summer?:

If you slow down and think about it yourself before asking, you can answer almost all of your own questions.  Challenge yourself to think critically and form your own independent thoughts from scratch.
