Hey there! I’m Alexander, but I usually go by the name Alex. I currently live in Kent, England. Just outside of a huge town, I’m surrounded by fields, trees, and woodland. So for me, camp is a home away from home!
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?: During my free time, I will usually be socializing with friends. My friends and I will normally be playing football, or during summer, kayaking the rivers through Sussex (weather permitting of course!). I’m lucky enough to have a group of friends who all work in an outdoor activity environment. So during the summer, you can usually find me high up in the trees swinging from rope to rope, or jumping into a net 20 foot high, and even sometimes paddle boarding. However, in the winter, I will most probably be at a friends house having a bonfire and playing card and board games, alongside the evening or two of PlayStation of course. There’s not much to do when it gets dark at 4!
What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?: My biggest achievement would be graduating from university. During my university years, I met some incredible people from all different countries with all different backgrounds. As a result, I ended up with some of the best friends I could ever make. University helped me develop all of my skills, but most of all, it helped me gain independence and confidence. It took hard work and determination, and that’s why it’s my biggest achievement.
What are you most looking forward to about CCB?: I’m most looking forward to being able to bring so much fun into camp, alongside helping to develop all kinds of skills that a young man will need in his life. I’m excited for the memories both the children and the staff are going to come away with, as well as the friendships that will grow. I know camp will bring some experiences for everyone that are once in a lifetime!
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?: I’m most excited to bring my skills, and energy into camp to make it one of the best experiences everyone will have. I’m very excited to see how everyone develops over the course of the camp and watch the boys begin to find new potential hobbies and activities they excel at.
What is your favorite quote?: Those who fear success, sit still.
