My name is Alston, I'm from Savannah, Georgia, and I love being outside(especially in the mountains).
What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?: The biggest achievement of my life so far has been how far I've gotten with running. More than the speed, having gone through the journey of getting into shape has meant a lot to me.
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?: My favorite thing to do when I have some downtime is to explore with friends out on the water.
What is your favorite thing about working with children?: Working with children refreshes my sense of the world, and brings out my inner kid.
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?: I'm most excited to really make the summers of campers. Camp counselors really do determine the extent of memories kids make at Camp Carolina, and I can't wait to be a part of it.
What goal or camp philosophy do you really want your campers to learn this summer?: The True Gentleman is very important to me, and I think every camper, regardless of behavior or background, learns it. Growing into an adult and looking back on my years of a camper having subtly been taught the meaning of the poem by outstanding councelors, I now realize it was my most impactful take away from Camp Carolina.
