My name is Amy Fitzgerald. I was born and raised in Perth Western Australia.
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?: I find it very hard to sit still and I don’t like being stuck inside. In my spare time you will find me in, on or around any body of water, either training for open water endurance swimming events, on the water in a surf rescue boat, surf ski, paddle board and kayak or relaxing at the beach with my mates.
What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?: I have been deployed by the International Surf Life Saving Association to run humanitarian lifeguard operations and establish lifeguarding agencies in Greece, Albania, China and the Cook Islands. I have also just recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame Australia as a Registered Nurse.
What are you most looking forward to about CCB?: I am really looking forward to the whole summer camp experience. I can not wait to travel, meet new people, gain invaluable experiences and share my skills and knowledge and previous experiences with the campers, staff and families.
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?: A quote I came across frequently during my nursing training was “They may forget your name, but they will never forget the way you made them feel”. I wish to abide by these words and leave a long lasting positive impact on the CCB community in 2019.
What is your favorite quote?: You are braver then you believe, stronger then you seem and smarter then you think.
