Program

My name is George, my friends and family always call me 'GV' as a nickname, so feel free to call me whatever you prefer! I am from the (not so sunny!) Somerset in the South West of England, and have lived here my entire life. It truly is one of the most amazing and rural parts of the country, however I have always loved to travel and visit as much of the world as possible, which is one of the many amazing reasons I wanted to be a staff member at camp.

What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?: My favourite things to do have always revolved around sports. I have always love to play sports such as Tennis and Football, as well as watching sports events while socialising with my friends. I also like to swim or go to the gym in my spare time.

What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?: My biggest achievement to date that I am most proud of would be getting my placement to work at this amazing summer camp. Deciding that this is something I would love to do, and putting the hard work in to be able to achieve it is something i'm incredibly proud of.

What are you most looking forward to about CCB?: I am looking forward to being able to contribute to a summer of a lifetime for the campers, and making sure they have the best experience possible. Along with meeting so many new people while at the same time coaching a sport I love and contributing on the waterfront too.

What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?: I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to be a role model to the campers, being someone that they can look up to and enjoy spending their summer with. All at the same time as promoting the motto of becoming a "True Gentleman".

What is your favorite quote?: My favourite quote is "Manner Maketh Man". As well as being a quote from a film, my grandad always used to say this to me as a child, while always making a point that having good manners and being kind while putting others first can only prove you as a man.
