Hi my name is Justin, I'm from the south suburbs of Chicago. I am a sophomore in college studying mathematics education and I have deep passion for teaching and STEM. Much of my motivation to teach originates from my relationship with my younger brother Joshua, who was born with a mental disability. I hope to have a career teaching disadvantaged communities like the one I came from.
What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?: Becoming the first person in my extended family to attend college.
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?: I love watching and playing basketball.
What is your favorite thing about working with children?: Providing children one more positive role model to have in their life. And teaching them about STEM!
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?: I am excited to bring a unique energy to CCB that can positively impact not only the campers but my fellow staff members as well.
What goal or camp philosophy do you really want your campers to learn this summer?: I hope to promote the camp philosophy of guiding campers to search and be interested in answers. I believe that fostering academic and general curiosity in youth is a strong way to promote not only their current well-beings but their future as well.
