Hiii! My name is Ross and I’m from the East coast of Scotland. I am currently undertaking a gap year before studying economics next year. I love all different types of sport whether it’s on a field or on water and I can’t wait to meet everyone for an amazing summer at my first Camp Carolina experience!
What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?: In 2018 I played for my U16 rugby team at the Scottish school's cup final at the national stadium. This along with becoming my schools sports day junior and senior champion was hard work and required real determination as I had dislocated my kneecap the previous year.
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?: Anything from rugby, hiking, camping and water sports. I can’t wait to hit the water on some of the amazing rivers on offer in North Carolina.
What is your favorite thing about working with children?: Helping them grow and develop into the best they can be whilst having a fun impact on their life is probably my favorite thing.
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?: To help make everyone at the camp have the best summer ever, one that they will always treasure, and to hopefully be a role model for the children, one that inspires them for the future.
What goal or camp philosophy do you really want your campers to learn this summer?: This is a hard question as there are so many things I want them to develop, from self-discipline to confidence and leadership skills, but as I have to pick one, I would say helping turn them into gentlemen. This is because the attitudes and behaviors this entails are incredibly useful for the rest of their lives.
