Hi! My name is Jack Birchmore :) I am from Perth, Western Australia, and am traveling around the world (Currently in Japan). I am a new graduate of the University of Notre Dame Australia in Fremantle WA and work as a CPR first aid instructor with Surf Life Saving WA. I am currently working on the ski slopes in Hakuba Japan and I will be working at Camp Carolina this Summer!
How many years have you worked at CCB?: This summer will be my first year! I am keen and excited to jump into the opportunity :)
What is your must bring item to CCB?: An Australian Rules Football! :)
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?: Anything on the water in the ocean or the river, love spending time on the beach and among the waves.
What are you famous for?: My happy go lucky attitude and adventurous spirit
What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?: My university degree has been my most significant accomplishment; I studied hard and diligently to get where I am today, as I have been brought up in a family that values education above all else. I also am proud of winning the Head of the River rowing championships and becoming Prefect at Christ Church Grammer School in 2013.
What are you most looking forward to about CCB?: I am most looking forward to Instilling confidence, self-worth and a solid work ethic in our young campers! I have also never been to the United States and am looking forward to throwing myself into the culture :)
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?: Sharing my passion for the environment with this summers young campers as well as applying my university education to a real-life setting. I study the positive effects of camps and extracurricular activities within my degree.
