Emiliano Pacheco Olvera

In-Camp Staff

Hello everyone! My name is Emiliano, and I am joining you all the way from Zacatecas, Mexico. Growing up here, I’ve been active in sports since I could walk. My main passions are Basketball, Baseball, and Racquetball and I am looking forward to bringing my energy and experience to Camp Carolina to help campers develop their own skills and love for the game. I can't wait for an unforgettable summer!
What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?:
I am most proud of earning my Technical Degree in Digital Systems from one of Mexico's most prestigious academic institutions. Beyond academics, my greatest personal achievement has been volunteering as a childcare assistant within my local Christian community in Zacatecas. This experience taught me patience and responsibility, and gave me the incredible opportunity to positively impact the lives of children.
What is your favourite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?:
Since I was young, my dad has inspired me to be active and try new things. Every Saturday morning, he would take my brothers and me to a recreational center to play every sport we could, from racquetball to soccer, but basketball is without a doubt, my number one sport.
What is your favourite thing about working with children?:
I am inspired by the fact that every child is unique and sees the world through their own distinct lens. I view working with children as an opportunity to share the passions that were once shared with me, and to show them the endless possibilities of what they can achieve.
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?:
I’m excited to share the joy of sports that I discovered as a child. Beyond the games, I want to be a supportive and reliable team player. I will do my best to contribute to a positive atmosphere where every camper and staff member feels comfortable and included.
What goal or camp philosophy do you really want your campers to learn this summer?:
I want campers to learn the importance of teamwork, especially in team sports like Basketball and Baseball. I believe that learning to cooperate and contribute to a community is an essential life skill that helps us grow not just as athletes, but as people.
