Bookkeeping / Kitchen Coordinator

Emily was born & raised in Upstate NY. After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from SUNY Oswego, Emily worked her 1st summer in Camp’s Office & began to consider the mountains of WNC home. Emily works as Camp’s bookkeeper! Additionally, she has spent 5 (and counting!) epic summers in the CCB Kitchen in various roles. She now helps each summer in the Kitchen as a coordinator. Emily loves any opportunity to use her creative skills at Camp. She enjoys painting Camp murals, dreaming up our marketing materials and designing a lot of the Camp Store merch!

Emily lives on-site with her husband Alfred Jr., son Zephyr & their dog Little Bear. In her free time, you can find her hiking (with lots of stops to forage), traveling, practicing yoga, perusing a thrift shop, painting, seeing live music or working on a DIY project. She absolutely loves the summer months when the valley is full & the tight-knit Camp Carolina community is flourishing.
