Hi everyone! My name is Anna and I'm from Germany. I'm studying Childhood Education and currently writing my Bachelor's thesis. I work as a student assistant, babysit, and do voluntary work. I'm excited about my first summer at CCB!
What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?

When I lived and worked in another country for 5 months. My time in Barcelona gave me many wonderful memories with great people and taught me how to overcome challenges.
I am also proud that I am able to hold seminars at the university to teach important aspects of professional practice as a childhood educator.
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?

I practice yoga. I love being outdoors - hiking, skiing, cycling. But sometimes it can also be a quiet spot and a good book. I love spending time with family, friends, and my two cats.
What is your favorite thing about working with children?

There is a saying in Germany: "Kindermund tut Wahrheit kund". This means that children say outright what they think and that is so enriching. I appreciate this change of perspective. Children bring so much creativity, openness, and optimism with them. Seeing the world from a child's perspective is what makes life exciting.
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?

Practicing yoga with children and teaching values for a healthy and peaceful co-existence and at the same time creating the opportunity for each child to get to know themselves better, recognize their self-worth, and grow beyond themselves during the summer.
What goal or camp philosophy do you really want your campers to learn this summer?

The goal should be that every child wakes up in the morning excited about the day and in the evening falls asleep with a smile on their face. I want them to learn resilience, independence, and respect for humans and nature.
