Michael Stubbs

Michael Stubbs

In-Camp Staff

Hi! My name is Michael but everyone calls me Stubbsy, I'm from Lancashire, England. This will be my second summer at Camp and I'm super excited to be coming back. I grew up playing all sorts of sports with my two older brothers and spent lots of time going camping with my family. I'm looking forward to meeting all the campers and having an unforgettable summer!

What are you most proud of/biggest achievement in life so far?:

My biggest achievement is my gold medal I achieved for Taekwondo sparring. It was an event in wales. In this event I was supposed to be in the teenagers lightweight category but due to some complications I got moved to the adults middle-weight category and still came out on top!
What is your favorite hobby/sport/thing to do during your free time?:

My favorite sport is football, I play about four times a week and it never gets old. But me and my friends have just started to pick up running and this is something we do on a weekly basis now. I also like Camping, Swimming, Squash and going to watch football with my family. My favorite team is Bolton Wanderes and I have been supporting them since I was born.
What is your favorite thing about working with children?:

I love working with children because every day I have the opportunity to teach them something new, something that they can use in sports or life. Children also have such good energy for camp and they always want to get involved in the out of camp trips as well as the in camp ones.
What impact are you most excited to make this year at CCB?:

I want to make this year at camp special for the campers. I want to make this the most unforgettable and most exciting summer they can have. And if I can I would like them to have the urge to come back the following summers to meet the friends they have made and to make new friends along with lots of new memories!
What goal or camp philosophy do you really want your campers to learn this summer?:

I want my campers to learn the true meaning of becoming a Gentleman. learning how to treat others with kindness and respect so they may become friends for life. I would also like every camper to look at every day as a new opportunity to have a new adventure and to learn things and see things they have never before experienced.
